Connecting Mobilize to your Electbase site
This connection is small today, and we would rather say so plainly. The Mobilize card takes your Mobilize organization ID, and that is all that happens right now: nothing reads your Mobilize events onto your site yet, and nothing sends volunteers from your site into Mobilize. Available on Rally and above.
What Mobilize is, for anyone who hasn't used it
Mobilize is where many Democratic and progressive campaigns post canvasses, phone banks and other volunteer shifts, and where volunteers sign up for them. Its event pages are public and work for everyone, so there are no race-level restrictions on this connection.
What the connection does today
Records your organization ID. From your dashboard, open Connections in the top navigation, find the Mobilize card, enter your Mobilize organization ID (a number, like 12345) and click Save setup. The card then shows the ID is saved. No key or credential is needed for that, and Mobilize charges nothing for it.
That is the extent of it. Saving the ID does not change anything on your published site.
What it does not do yet
- Show your Mobilize events on your site. Your site's Events block shows the events you create in Electbase under Events. Mobilize events do not appear in it. The code that reads a Mobilize organization's upcoming public events was built against Mobilize's published API and was run against the live API on 2026-08-12, where it returned real events correctly, but the part that would put those events on your pages has not been built. Until that changes, link to your Mobilize event pages from your site the ordinary way: a button in a call-to-action band or an Events block entry that points at the Mobilize page.
- Send volunteers from your site into Mobilize. Writing a signup into Mobilize uses an endpoint Mobilize grants case by case. Electbase has asked; the grant has not been given, so no push exists and no toggle for one is shown anywhere. When it is granted, this article will change.
Because nothing flows in either direction, the card can never read "Connected." That is the honest state, not a fault.
Getting your Mobilize volunteers into Electbase anyway
Mobilize lets you export your participants. Download the participant or shift export from your Mobilize dashboard, then on your Contacts page click Import CSV and choose the Mobilize participants export layout. Rows load as volunteers in your supporter list. This is a manual step, and it is the only route from Mobilize into Electbase today.
Quick checklist
- On your Connections page, enter your Mobilize organization ID on the Mobilize card and click Save setup. Expect nothing on your site to change.
- Link to your Mobilize event pages from your site with ordinary buttons or Events block entries.
- When you want your Mobilize volunteers in your supporter list, export participants from Mobilize and import them on your Contacts page with the Mobilize layout.
