Boilerplate

For journalists to lift verbatim.

Electbase is a self-serve website platform for down-ballot Democratic and nonpartisan campaigns. Sites are AI-drafted from the campaign's own details; the “Paid for by” disclaimer is generated from committee information and publishing is blocked without it; every published page is machine-checked against WCAG 2.2 AA. A hibernation tier from $10/month keeps a candidate's site alive between election cycles. Plans start at $29/month. Electbase is built by BlueList AI and launched publicly on September 8, 2026.

Backgrounder

Most campaign websites are built for races with staff and budgets. Down-ballot candidates — school board, city council, state legislature — are left choosing between generic builders that know nothing about political compliance, or political platforms priced for congressional campaigns. Electbase was built to close that gap: a self-serve platform where the hard parts are automatic. The “Paid for by” disclaimer is generated from the campaign's registered committee details and publishing is blocked when it's missing. Every published page is machine-checked against WCAG 2.2 AA. Donations work with any processor, not just one. And a hibernation tier from $10/month keeps a campaign's site alive between election cycles instead of letting it disappear the day the race ends — so a candidate's second campaign starts warm instead of from zero.

Electbase publicly launched on September 8, 2026. It is built by BlueList AI, an Arizona-based Democratic data and media firm.

Founder quote

“Down-ballot candidates are the largest layer of democracy and the least served by campaign technology. Electbase generates the compliance disclaimer, checks accessibility at every publish, and keeps a candidate's site alive between cycles — the parts every other platform leaves to chance or lets die.”
— Robb Vaules, Founder
