Terms of Service
The terms that govern your Electbase account, subscription, and published campaign site.
Effective July 7, 2026
These Terms govern the Electbase platform — your account, subscription, the editor, and your published campaign site — together with our Privacy Policy and Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy. Electbase is a product of BlueList AI LLC, an Arizona limited liability company.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of electbase.com, the Electbase platform and editor, published campaign sites, and related tools and services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy, which are part of these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization (a campaign, committee, PAC, club, or business), you represent that you're authorized to bind that organization, and "you" means both you and that organization.
2. Who can use Electbase
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. What the Service is
Electbase lets you build, preview, publish, and host campaign and organizing websites, capture supporter information, and use bundled tools and reference directories. Features vary by subscription tier (see our pricing page). We may add, change, or remove features over time. The Service is software and hosting — it is not legal, campaign-finance, tax, or compliance advice (see Section 6).
4. Accounts, campaigns, and subscriptions
An account may own one or more campaigns. Building and previewing is free; publishing a site and using paid features require an active subscription. Billing, auto-renewal, cancellation, refunds, plan limits, and the grace period are governed by our Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy. We may set and enforce technical and usage limits per tier.
5. Your content and your published site
You own your content. You keep all rights to the text, images, candidate information, supporter data, and other materials you add ("Your Content"). You grant Electbase a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service (including serving your published site and backing it up).
You are responsible for Your Content and your published site — its accuracy, its legality, the rights to use it, and its compliance with applicable law (Section 6). We don't pre-screen content and aren't responsible for it, but we may remove or disable content or sites that violate these Terms or the law (Section 9).
6. Campaign compliance is your responsibility
Electbase serves candidates, committees, PACs, clubs, and causes. You are solely responsible for your own compliance with all applicable election, campaign-finance, advertising, and disclosure laws and regulations — federal (including FEC rules), state, and local — including:
- required "paid for by" and other disclaimers on your site, ads, and solicitations;
- contribution limits, source restrictions, and reporting for any donations you solicit or process;
- rules on coordination, in-kind contributions, and use of the platform.
Our Field Guide articles and any built-in prompts are general information, not legal advice, and are not a substitute for your own counsel or compliance staff. You are responsible for confirming what your jurisdiction requires. Electbase has no obligation to review Your Content or your site for compliance.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- break the law, or publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or infringes someone else's rights;
- impersonate a person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation or who is paying for your content;
- upload malware, attempt to breach or overload our systems, scrape or bulk-harvest data, or circumvent access controls or usage limits;
- send unlawful or unconsented communications (including messages that violate anti-spam, TCPA, or similar rules) to supporter contacts;
- resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly allowed by your plan.
We reserve the right to determine, in good faith, what violates this section.
8. Third-party services
The Service links to and integrates with third-party tools (donation processors such as ActBlue and Stripe, voter-file and organizing tools, analytics, and others). Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and we're not responsible for them. Some features depend on third parties that may change or become unavailable.
9. Suspension and termination
By you: you may stop using the Service and cancel per the Billing Policy. By us: we may suspend or terminate your access, unpublish a site, or remove content if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service unlawfully or in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service — with notice where practical, or immediately where the issue is serious.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends; data handling and export follow the retention window in the Billing Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law) survive termination.
10. Intellectual property
The Electbase platform, editor, templates, designs, and brand (including the Electbase name and logo) are owned by BlueList AI LLC and protected by law. These Terms don't transfer any of our intellectual property to you beyond the limited right to use the Service and the templates within your published site while your subscription is active. Don't copy, resell, or create derivative platforms from ours.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will meet your requirements or achieve any particular electoral or fundraising result.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BlueList AI LLC and its members and personnel will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, votes, or contributions, arising from or related to the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BlueList AI LLC and its members and personnel from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your published site, your campaign or organizing activity, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of law (including election and campaign-finance law).
14. Changes to the Service and these terms
We may update these Terms as the product and law evolve. For material changes we'll update the effective date above and take reasonable steps to notify active subscribers. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The state and federal courts located in Arizona have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes under these Terms, and both parties consent to that venue.
16. Miscellaneous
If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms (with the Privacy and Billing policies) are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
